The sixth year of the Roma Spirit awards ceremony will be held at the Prague Crossroads on Saturday, 10 December 2016, on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day. Every year, these awards show and honor the work and activities that help to improve the quality of life of Romani people.
In the afternoon on 5 December 2016, the Prague Crossroads will open the door for the 12th time to all people who decide to support the traditional St. Nicholas Charity Bazaar held by The VIZE 97 Foundation. Visitors can enjoy the festive atmosphere, have a cup of tea with their friends and buy Christmas presents and thus contribute to a good cause.
Dagmar Havlová and the VIZE 97 Foundation plan, in association with Alan Pajer, one of the President’s Office photographers, an exhibition of photos of President Václav Havel. The photos will be on display at the Prague Crossroads. The public will be able to see them 28 October to 17 November 2016, always between 10:00 and 16:00.
On Sunday 16 October will begin the 20th annual Forum 2000 Conference, with the opening ceremony to take place at 19:00 at the Prague Crossroads. The President of the Slovak Republic Andrej Kiska will deliver an address.
Wednesday 12 October 2016, exactly one week after the award of the Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97 Prize, an international conference will be held at the Prague Crossroads in honour of the laureate of the Václav Havel Human Rights Award 2016.
On 5 October, the eightieth anniversary of President Václav Havel, he was remembered at home and abroad by thousands of people. At the Prague Crossroads, the deconsecrated Church of Saint Anna, for whose conservation and management the Foundation has cared for many years, the Foundation VIZE 97 Prize is awarded every year on this day.
‘Sensational Seniors’, whose actions or work are exceptional, will receive the prize on Saturday 1 October 2016 at the Prague Crossroads from 14:00.
The Senior of the Year 2016 Prize was initiated by the Charter 77 Foundation as part of its project Sensational Seniors (SenSen).
The Prague Crossroads will host for one day a student debating duel. On Friday 23 September 2016 at 11:30 at the Church of Saint Anna finals will be held the 10th International Final Week ‘Jugend Debattiert International, an International Youth debate, which is jointly organized by Goethe-Institut. It will be the climax of the competition for which the students prepared for several months.
