The traditional Saint Nicholas Bazaar will be held on Wednesday, December 5, from noon until 6 PM on the premises of the Prague Crossroads – the Church of Saint Anne. This traditional event was founded eight years ago by Dagmar Havlová and her goal was to make the unique desecrated Church of Saint Anne accessible to the public and to make it possible for non-profit organizations to present their work and also financially support their projects.
As in previous years, also this year the visitors to the bazaar will have the opportunity to buy Christmas presents in advance and through their purchase contribute to a worthy cause. Visitors can also meet interesting celebrities who support this event, such as Marta Kubišová, Táňa Vilhelmová, Eliška Balzerová, Kateřina Brožová and Jiří Strach. In the afternoon visitors will have the opportunity to see performances by violinist and VIZE 97 scholarship recipient Ondřej Lébr, the vocal choir Cantina and MikroChor Lukáše Prchala together with Okamžitý Filmový Orchestr conducted by Varhan Orchestrovič Bauer.
The event is organized by the Dagmar and Václav Havel VIZE 97 Foundation together with the following partner non-profit organizations: Foundation Charta 77 – The Barriers Account, People In Need, Mamma HELP, the Home of Saint Charles Borromeo and the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo, Helppes, Nadační fond Českého rozhlasu – Světluška, Čajomír o.s., The Foundation Fund “Sun For All”, Domov svaté Rodiny, Sheltered Workshop A MANO, Laudovka Civic Association, Every Czech Reads To Kids public benefit organisation and Foundation Divoké husy.
